Dermapen
The Dermapen method, which was chosen as the best skin rejuvenation system of the year in America in 2012, also reduces the clarity of acne and scars and stretch marks.
The dermapen treatment system, which is a modernized version of the microneedle system based on ancient Chinese history, is especially preferred on the face, hands and neck. It is suitable for all skin types and can be applied to sensitive areas that women avoid, such as the neck and inner arms, as it has a thin tip.
What is Dermapen?
Dermapen is used to apply micro needling to the skin. It stimulates the skin’s natural elastin and collagen production with the damage it causes. Thus, damaged tissues in the skin are reactivated and repaired quickly.
How does Dermapen work?
Thanks to the Dermapen application, many micro-channels are opened on the skin with vibrating needles and the skin’s own healing mechanisms are activated. At the same time, mesotherapy solutions, hyarulonic acid, PRP or CGF applied to the area are easily absorbed through these channels and tissue regeneration becomes much faster and healthier.
Usage areas
It is used in the treatment of skin problems (acne, skin regeneration, large pores, fine lines, sunspots, scars, etc.) as well as stretch marks. It contributes to the restructuring of the skin and strengthening of the collagen tissue.
How is Dermapen applied?
Before the application, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy solutions, PRP or CGF are applied to the area requiring treatment. With the automatic, vibrating needling technique, micro channels are opened on the skin to increase the absorption and therapeutic effect of these substances.
How many sessions and how often is Dermapen applied?
Dermapen process takes about 1 hour and can be applied in 2-6 sessions depending on the skin problem. Sessions are held one month apart. If the physician deems it appropriate, the treatment can be repeated.
Is the procedure painful?
To minimize the pain, anesthetic cream is applied to the skin before the Dermapen procedure. The application method is easy and convenient. At the end of the procedure, a soothing mask is applied.
When does the effect become visible?
Visible results begin to show 6 weeks after the procedure and the maximum effect is achieved after 3 months.
What should be considered after the procedure?
The slight pinkness and burning sensation that may occur after the treatment disappears in about 6 hours and then goes away on its own. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight after the procedure. Avoid strenuous sports, hot water, hammam, sauna or solarium for 2 days. Use a water-based moisturizer and do not wear makeup for the first 24 hours.

It’s true that the sheer number of cosmetic applications often creates confusion. Changes such as the application technique and the content of the drugs used cause the application name to change as well. However, the application can take the place of another alternative application. The important thing is that your doctor directs you to both economical, lower-priced applications and to more practical and fast definitive solutions. Paying more doesn’t mean you’re getting a better deal. Likewise, having known popular applications may not be the best practice for you.
Therefore, sharing your expectations and wishes with your doctor may produce optimum results for you. Of course, your specialist must also be chosen correctly. Almost every day, we witness that PR studies are carried out as if a new method has been found by making up popular names without changing the application and drug content, which are made under unique names on many platforms, including magazine programs. Unfortunately, this is quite upsetting for specialist doctors. Because we see that the understanding that sees what we see as patients only as a commercial commodity is growing and institutionalizing in the sector. My advice is to get the applications you need done by a doctor you trust and can always reach. You should choose a doctor who takes care of you within the ethical rules and avoids imposing an application that you will not need on you just by taking advantage of your lack of knowledge on the subject.
